4 Ways to Keep Your Smartphone Secure.
April 29, 2021
According to some estimates, there are 3.5 billion smartphones in the world today. With a global population of 7.8 billion, nearly half the world has a smartphone.
How can you keep your smartphone secure?
- Update your device routinely: The longer you wait to update your phone the more susceptible your phone can be to hackers since your software is out of date.
- Lock your devices when not in use: In the off chance you lose your phone, you do not want someone accessing sensitive information on your phone. Create a four or six digit passcode or create longer alphanumeric code. You can also add face or fingerprint identification.
- Use public WiFi networks with caution: Be wise before connecting to open, public WiFi networks. When you are on your home WiFi, keep your network closed and secure with the Blackfoot Smart Home app.
- If you don’t recognize the sender, don’t click links in emails: When checking your email on your phone, be careful not to click suspicious links.
